GLENBROOK STUDIOS® PROGRAM™ for FILMMAKERS

Glenbrook Studios® offers a variety of workshops tailored to the aspiring filmmaker, especially producers and directors. Each succeeding workshop requires satisfactory completion of the prior workshop. Access to the entire program is $1500. Discounts and financial arrangements are available to those who qualify. Private tutoring is also available for students 18 years of age or older, or younger if accompanied by an adult. Each level is $595, if purchased separately.

F-I. The Story - At the core of filmmaking is storytelling, which will be examined and explored in terms of Premise, Plot, Voice, Characters, Elements and Devices.

F-II. Filmmaking as a Career - An intensive one-day workshop consisting of the following areas of training:

The Magic of Cinematic Storytelling: The inside scoop on the fundamental tricks to suspend disbelief;

The Practicality of Filmmaking: The challenges and advantages of filming in studio vs. on location;

The Accountability/Legality of Filmmaking: How to be legit;

The Perseverence Factor: What it really takes to see your project to completion and into distribution;

Keeping the Ball Rolling: How to avoid stagnation.

F-III. Ensemble Work - This very intensive weekend-long or multiple-Saturday workshop focuses on working hands-on as a Team, Developing Content, Mastering First Takes, Testing Your Limits, Addressing Cinematic Challenges, Making Adjustments and Delivering Your Best Effort, all under pressure at the Producer's command.

F-IV. Internship* - Working as an intern on a professional production.

F-V. Contract* - Signing on as an employee or sub-contractor for a professional production.

The sessions are scheduled once rosters reach our threshhold amount. If you have not heard from us in awhile, it's probably because your name is still on a waiting list. Seniority is given to former students. Feel free to contact us again to check on your status.

ATTENTION: Acceptance to The Program&trade will be determined by interview. No refunds (use it or lose it) but transferable, if permitted by instructor. Most "weekend-long" workshops include hot meals and guest instructors from the industry.
